I have not posted in a long time, I don't know if it is the new job or lack of inspiration! Anyways, I promise I will get back on it soon! I have a few ideas floating in my head.

Burlesque
This post is dedicated to the BFF Celeste--She has been dying to go to a pole dancing class and after seeing the preview for the movie "Burlesque" I came up with the perfect Girls night/day out! Begin the event by inviting 10 of your closest friends with a fab invitation (by mail of course) I am thinking something black and white with red accents...sexy right?
Invite the girls over for signature cocktails and some light snacks...definitely cupcakes! Here is a signature drink that I came up with:
Naughty Girl
1oz Ciroc
2 oz Simply Raspberry Lemonade (strained)
Maraschino Cherries (soaked in light rum)
mix the first two ingredients and pour into a martini glass and drop in one cherry! This drink is sure to make the evening fun and full of laughs!
Now as for the cupcakes...these would go fab at the Burlesque event!
I won't give away all my goodies but I would recommend going to a noon screening, back to the house for cocktails and then on to the pole dancing class!
This idea can also be adapted into a bachelorette party too!
-Enjoy

Cocktails and Cookies
I am a firm believer that you can never have too many gatherings and since I was pregnant for an eternity I have missed out on a few sessions. I am thinking about throwing a party at the end of the summer for women only and calling it cocktails and cookies! Cute...right!?!? I will ask each guest to bring at least one dozen of cookies or some other dessert preferably homemade and I will supply the cocktails and food! This would be a fun way for the ladies to get together and try different cookies or others desserts and take some home too. I will ask each guest to send me a copy of their recipe (if it is not top secret) so that I can print them on cute stationary for each guest to take home.
I have not thought of the design elements yet but as soon as I do I will post them. I want to make it a really swanky event!

Follow the Sexy Brick Road
Okay one of my friends needs to get married ASAP! I have a ton of great ideas for a bachelorette party that I can not share because it would ruin the surprise but here is one that I was thinking about recently...A sexy spin on the Wizard of Oz!
Follow the Sexy Brick Road
The bride-to-be could wear a pair of beautiful pair of blinging ruby red slippers with a white ensemble and her whole entourage can rock black outfits.
I found a wonderful recipe for ruby slipper cocktails
1 1/2oz of Whiskey
Grenidine
7up
Fill a shot glass three-quarters full with whiskey, and with grenadine. Fill any large glass with 7-up. Drop the shot glass into the 7-up and drink everything.
Also I have this vision in my head of beautiful cupcakes covered in red glitter I could not find the perfect picture but the above will have to do!
The possibilities are endless with this theme. If you need some help just let me know! As always have fun!

The 19th hole
Well I was browsing the web for some fathers day inspiration ideas and ran across the cutest idea on The Party Dress...a golf outing followed by lunch. After 18 holes of golf treat the men in your life to a beautiful but cool spread of food and of course beer.
How cute is the above story board!!
You could hire a photographer to follow the men around and take candid shots while they play and then have the photographer come back to the lunch and take pictures of all the dad's and daughters. To take it up a notch have the men vote on superlatives (worst swing, almost pro, stick to caddying) type of awards with cute little trophies! Most men are not as detailed oriented as women but I bet the fathers in your life would appreciate such a fab even!
This idea can also be applied to a bachelor's day out or a 30th birthday. Checkout Hostess Blog to see full pictures from this fab event.
These young men really went all out! The attire definitely set it off! I might do this for my husbands birthday!

Mother's Day Brunch
Okay I am a little late...but there is always next year! lol
I really think it is important to honor the Mother's on this special day and how nice would a brunch be...this is a rhetorical question because it would be freakin' fantastic!
If you choose to do this I say go all out: Beautiful invitations, place cards, gift bags...the whole shebang! I say team up with a few friends and and honor your mothers together!
Pick a theme and let your imagination run wild! Have fun and really show your mother you love her!

Look at this beautiful dessert! Remember food is the source of any great event! So start out with planning a delectable menu that includes signature drinks, divine appetizers, a meal fit for a queen and desserts to die for!
Happy Mothers Day!!!
