Cinco De Mayo

When I was in college all you needed to have a good Cinco De Mayo celebration was liqueur! :-) Many people will still hold onto that philosophy but if you really want to "pump up the volume" here are a few ideas!

Margarita Cupcakes...Stop!!

These are a must try...soon.They look so festive and they have tequila in them! Click here for the recipe!

The Perfect Margarita

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 oz of Patron Silver
  • 1 oz Grand Marnier
  • 1 1/2 oz Fresh squeezed orange juice
  • 1/2 oz Agave nectar
  • 1/2 Fresh squeezed lime juice
Pour all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake gently serve in salted glasses and enjoy!

Decorations

Decorations should be fun and festive! How awesome would it be to fill a pinata with adult goodies and take turns slapping it around (after a couple of margaritas).
Food
The good thing about Mexican food is many dishes go a long way. They are meant to feed a lot people. So dust off your favorite taco salad recipe, buy a big bag of tortilla chips and viola! Furthermore, one of my favorite party appetizers is a cheese ball.  Here is a great easy recipe for a jalapeno one! YUM
